Admissions

The UM School of Business offers two degrees: the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). Admission to the undergraduate program at the School of Business is selective. Students may enter the program in one of three ways:  freshman, external transfer or internal transfer from the University of Miami.

Freshman Admission

At the University of Miami, our centralized admissions process makes it easy for you to be admitted as a freshman from high school directly into the School of Business. Even if you aren’t sure which of the 12 majors you wish to pursue, you may  be admitted as an undecided major and begin in the business curriculum in your first semester.

Our front-loaded business curriculum will provide a firm foundation in critical areas (accounting, finance,  business  law, and marketing) to help you to evaluate whether or not business is right for you. If not, it’s easy to transfer into the College of Arts and Sciences or one of the other 10 schools or colleges at the university.  If you decide to pursue a business degree, this critical knowledge will be invaluable to help you determine your major(s).

You will find a lively community of student scholars, distinguished faculty and state-of-the art facilities that work seamlessly to provide a world class education, an energetic campus life and boundless career and educational opportunities.
